Let's see if....

I could not believe I said this! -sad look-

"Let's see if they can speak English at the end of the program."

I cried my heart out loud, blaming myself for saying such thing.

Oh, Stephannie, you're exaggerating! My apology.
But whatever one is willing to say, I did not feel right after this sentence came out of my mouth.

A Happy-Birthday edition

(Picture: Google.com)
It's my birthday!!! - I did not say this out loud actually.

The first thing came across my mind was that I'm getting older. Well, something I cannot resist, right? Luckily we only celebrate birthday once a year (-can you imagine if we celebrate it twice or three times?!)

Passionate Teachers = Great Teachers

In the past, I had never dreamed to become a teacher as I am today.
I've ever heard some people mentioned that being a teacher is a genetic. But I've learned that it is not. It certainly is passed on. (I learned from my previous teachers and lecturers!)

 wide smile.

I know that there are lots of things to learn in order to transform from 'merely-a-good-teacher' into a great teacher. It takes passion to take a good teacher into a great teacher.
In today's post, I'd like to share with you about the insight of my calling, being a teacher.

Passionate teachers teach and learn.

They have enthusiasm and passion for their subject. They can't wait to open the window of students' mind about their subject magic and wonder.
They show their students the important of acquiring the skill and knowledge in the particular area.
They inspire their students.
They know that not every student born genius but strongly believe that each student is gifted and has what it takes to be successful. They motivate, guide, and challenge their students through the learning process.
They always set high standards because they want to bring the best out in their students.

They don't compromise, but they do encourage.
They might not be beautiful or handsome. They might not be wealthy. They might not be famous. They might never win a noble. They might not wear the most fashionable clothes. But when they are around, hope is there.
Their presence sparkle the class and makes the learning process more enjoyable.
For me, great teachers are passionate teachers.
Furthermore, they need what it takes to make a great teacher: intelligence, knowledge, and a variety of skills.

"However, it's been said that mostly great teachers became teachers and lecturers because they had an inspirational teacher." (Prof. Furnham, London University).

Our Beloved Opa is with the Lord now

It is a custom of my cousins to give a 'just-call-to-make-your-phone-ring.' They miss me, probably. Smile.

Yesterday, on Sunday, they called me again. Unstoppable phone calls.
This time it wasn't merely a call.
Unfortunately, I didn't carry along my cellphone with me. I left in inside my backpack.

I missed the phone calls.

A Focus-Me

Focus.

This word functions both as noun and verb. I opt to take the verb instead of the noun.
It isn't merely a need. It is a must.

I have had some unfinished pile of assignments, duties, and responsibilities--they traveled with me from the 2013. I tend to make them work at the same time just to find myself hanging at the end of the rope. *sigh*
