The Precious Fifteen-Minutes Moment

We all know the importance of being on time. It is not merely a teacher's obligation. It is everybody-- no matter where we work or what we do. A punctual person is acknowledged for his or her readiness to welcome the great responsibility lies ahead. --I hope I put this right-- Smile.

The question now is, what about being earlier in our classroom? Let's say I want to be in the classroom 15 minutes earlier! Voila!
Well, this being-fifteen-minutes-earlier might not sound very important last year for me. But this year, IT IS!

This year, I have decided to devote my 15-minutes moment before the class bell to be in the class. Why do I do this? It is simple. I want to make time to understand my students!

Here are things I really hope to improve in my teaching perspective:
  1. To get to know my students better: I want to know how their day is!  This moment is also important to have light conversations on how they are doing in our English class. On this matter, I really need to know if my students are alright with the activities and which area they still need to improve.
  2. To prepare more meaningful activities that help my students to accomplish the lesson objective.
  3. To help me better in managing my classroom for a peaceful, fun, and engaging lesson!
By the way, I have started last week. It was our first term of 2015, and I thought why not trying something new and fun?! After all, it is always fun to meet students and to know that they miss our class!

Tell me what you think about this idea, the heart-winners teachers! *excited*
Have you devoted some of your precious moments with your students too? I love to hear from you!
