The Special Gift to Share this Christmas #2: Calling out for the story & Reflection on Special Gift

This morning, I woke up with a bundle of hope! I thought of what my friends might think about sharing their story on the special gift they can give on Christmas. Got up from my bed after that, I began to pray, asking the Lord whether this was the right thing to do.

I remembered the feeling of excitement at that time! An hour later, I found myself sitting in front of my laptop, connected to the internet, writing emails wishing everybody a Merry Christmas and encouraging them to share their experience in giving something special, a gift, for someone this Christmas.

Before going further, I need to emphasize the kind of special gift here. What makes it special: the way it is given, the timing, and the person who would receive it.
Like me, we might have planned so many things to give out to people. We have been busy thinking of what kind of gift they like, would they like it, would they smile when they see it, would they be happy? It brings pleasure in our heart to give something special to those we love. However, special gift does not always mean a cute and unique DIY card that no one in the world can make it but us. Special gift does not always mean a new bracelet you've been dreaming whole year long. Special gift does not always have to be in form of materials. Honestly, they are good and even precious! What I mean is that it is more than that. What makes a gift special is because it comes from the heart that is willing to give without hoping to receive something back. A heart that realizes that when I give this to him or her, he will be blessed and I will forever thankful for that joy!

These special gifts, no matter what they are, will be shared by my friends on the upcoming post. Well, I've been anxiously waiting to read them!
